Building a VW Custom car

Around 1985 I build this VW Beetle custom car for a friend.

This the first time I ever did such a job.

The rust was taken car of and repaired. The fenders were welded to the body to be able to smooth out the transit to the body.

The bumpers were converted to spoilers. Everything was then painted a brigth red. Even the interior was taken car of.

My friend was very happy with the result also because he gave a helping hand.

Helas! a few months later he had an accident and the car was totalled.
